Caladesi report

Today the 9th I went to Caladesi Island for some relaxation. There were acres of finger mullet all along Huricane pass to the bird island on the south. I foolishly assumed that this was an indication that fishing would be hot. the wind was calm making the paddle a breeze. I only caught 1 red a lady fish and numerous small trout all on a jig. I think there was so much bait that all the fish were full. A bonnet head shark was so insistant that I hit it with my paddle to discourage the attention. Later I hooked a small bonnet head near the mangroves. Great kayaking slooooow fishing.
