I am getting my first kayak Wednesday :)

Getting my first kayak on Wednesday , I got a Perception Sport Pescador 12 . I live in Venice Florida . Anyone close and have any pointers for me I have been fishing this area for over thirteen years but mainly deep water grouper and reef fishing . I did have a small aluminum boat for couple years and did some snook fishing and love the skinny water fishing I hope to love this and look foward to even a tarpon maybe one day but will stick to snook and reds for a while

... I also am going to fish Myakka river as well if anyone has any pointers and hints I would welcome them .

Congrats on the new kayak. If I'm not mistaken that is the same design as a pre 2009 or 10 Tarpon 120. Great kayaks and a good bang for the buck.

Lemon Bay just south of you. Great redfishing and snook. Launch at the south east side of the south bridge going over to the beach.

Is that the one at manosota beach or middle beach further south?
