d -day at caladesi

Post by nemo327 »

Arrived at caladesi island @7:30 Mullet were boiling for hundreds of yards. Using a Paul Brown Devil I caught many small trout but using cut bait I caught Red after red size 21 to 22 inches. They hit almost the moment the bait hit the water. By 9:30 the mullet disappeared and the bite quit. Absolutely quit not even pinfish it was a great day on the flats including the 5 foot bull shark that circled and moved on. Stingrays are so common now I would fear to wade especially after stepping on one years ago has taught me to be wary.

Yea, early is the best bet this time of year, too darn hot, even the fish go find a cool spot to hang out and relax in.
My posts are my opinion only.
