Sunday 4/6

Post by Arik81 »

After a week of house chores, I was able to get on the water Sunday. Got out around 10:30am partly because of the tide and partly because of a party the night before.

The wind was pretty stuff but we fought through it. After a slow rest of the morning the bite picked up when the tide came in around 12:30. Started off with a trout (19.5in) and my partner with a small snook (17in).

After finding a small spot out if the wind, we started finding the reds. My partner landed a small one (18.5) and then a beautiful 27 incher that had to weight every bit of 7-8lbs. Soon after a hooked into another big red (29in).

This was the first red I have landed on the kayak.
Ended the day with another trout (19in) around 3:30.

I'm betting you "bookmarked" that area for the Kayak for Coop tournament this coming weekend.
Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley

Nope. I have sequestered myself to the area around Ken Thompson Park. My dad is coming with me and he cant paddle that far.
