Heading over the Hawaii

Hey fellas, I'm heading over to the island of Kauai in Hawaii this summer and my family and I are very interested in finding a charter captain to take us deep sea fishing. Are there any specific attributes, qualifications, or titles I should be looking for in a captain? Thanks in advance for the advice.
