Many thanks to Bill and Rik for another outstanding event. Was great to see such a good turnout.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

Would have been 'greater' if the other 20 who had signed up had shown up........Manning wrote: Was great to see such a good turnout.
Plus, you guys who fished but didn't show up at the Pic n' Sip, somebody else got your stuff. EVERYONE got a raffle prize. Some got two. We left with a box full of raffle prizes for the next event.
Oh, btw, we need that token back!

Just wanna say thanx to Bill and Rik for a great tournament yesterday. I'm a new member to the forum, although my father is a veteran, i hope to gain the camaraderie that he has. it was definitely a blast, and im glad to be a part of the paddle-fishing world.

Guys...great tourney. Lots of fun, good grub, good stories and good memories.
Wonderboy and I had "fun" slogging it through the mud when we had to haul out, but at the end neither of us would have traded a minute of it (ok, maybe a couple when we were up to our knees/thighs in muck). It was probably 75-100 yards, but it was a LONG 75-100 yards.
Somehow he was trying to sell me on the fact that it was easier for me because I have bigger feet - forget the fact that I have 100lbs on him.
Regardless we have some fond memories to look back on and truth be told CookNFish turned us on to paddle-fishing.com. I know I have picked up a couple lures/gizmos at the memorial and I keep them in my kayak. They are pretty much not to be used and I keep 'em there for good luck.
Again - kudos to the coordinators. I salute you and your efforts.

Hey Rik...Had a blast at the tourney on Saturday and apologize for not making it to the pic n sip...Had to much fun on the water and ran late getting to that wedding I mentioned. I do have the token and did not realize you needed that back. How can I return that to you guys?

Re: PFCS #2 - CooknFish Tribute - RESULTS
To echo Stompingrounds, I too had a great time out fishing the event Saturday but also wanted to apologize for not making the pic n sip. This being such a last-minute thing for us, we'll be sure to plan better for the next one so we can fully participate. Happy to get the token back to its rightful owners.
Seems like a great group, and I definitely look forward to future gatherings. Big congrats to the winners! Glad somebody was out there catching fish. I sure wasn't.
Cheers!

Hey Guys,
My brother (Dmcderm) and I participated in this tourney. We were newbies and had never really fished within the launch zone. We were a little too ambitious with how far away we rowed from where we launched. By the time we got back to our cars it was almost 3. Unfortunately we didnt make it to the Pic and Sip. Anyway, we had a blast and hope to try our luck at the next tourney. I really appreciate all the effort that went into getting this all to run so smoothly. We also have our tokens from this tourney, and if you'll have us back we'll bring em next time. Thanks again for getting this together, it was awesome!
