Big Trout Are Back

Post by Gibby3474 »

Last winter and spring arguably were the best months for large spotted seatrout in this area in a long, long time. The fish thinned out somewhat as the water warmed, but they've returned. My clients and I have caught 32 trout of 5 pounds or large since Jan. 1. I added three more last week. My most effective lure is the MirrOlue MirrOdine in 14R or 17R.

Gotta get up there and catch me some of those beguns.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

Steve doesn't post a lot here but I'm glad you put up a couple reports buddy. I have spent many an hour fishin with Steve and I can tell you he's one of the good guys. Yeah, he's one of those guide folks but we trade honey holes and I've never regretted it. A gentleman for sure and always a good fishin partner. Good to see ya Steve and NICE CROUT!
