Started out a little later that I wanted to. Once we got everyone in the water, we were off. There was a little wind but it looked to be a great morning.
As we traveled to our favorite areas, I saw the tails! The reds were a little spooky this morning so I ditched the kayak and waded closer. I split up a school and went to work to get my red. We were shooting video for our youtube page and Mike and Tom were very good about hanging back so as not to spook the fish. They gave me the opportunity I needed to stalk down a couple of small slot reds.
Jimmy VanPelt took the school that split off to the south. It didn't take long for him to hook up on his red.
And Will Mallett started in on the fish right away. Of all of us fishing, Will was the only one to slam!
Will caught a small snook, the red pictured above, and a nice 19" trout. It was, as usual, a beautiful fishing day and we are truly fortunate to live here! The video shows much more than the pics. Check it out on http://www.bluelinefishingteam.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and tight lines!
