3 for me in the yak, 4 in the canoe, i need to work out how to rig 4 in the yak though.

1# Light rigged with either an Exude or SS. Minnow

2# Medium Light, with Quasi-Spoon, or Quasi-Spinnerbait

3# Medium Heavy with a She Dog, or Top Dog Jr.

4# Medium with a Cork and Jig rig.

1 medium - light

2 medium - heavy

I only have two at the moment so that's what I bring.

1 with a jighead with an exude
1 with a exude with no weight
1 fly rod

Generally 2.

1 light-medium with a jerkbait that I catch almost all my fish on.

1 medium with a topwater, shad tail or spoon.

3 for me.
I would have more rods if "life" would stand still for a bit.
I was just about to place a big order with G*Loomis when the truck blew up and the land lord announced she was selling the house out from under us. did i mention i can't see past the bow of my kayak? another trip to the eye doctor is running a close 3rd on the list.
BC, you need a crashtest dummy for the seeing eye kayak?

I put down 4, but I bring 3 to 6, plus a flyrod from the canoe. Now that I just have the 'Yak, it's currently 2 or 3 plus a flyrod. Once I build the Dirty Dave super-ultra-mega rocket launcher setup for the two rear flushmounts, I'll have a 6 rod+ capacity.
One rigged with a topwater always, one with a gold or silver spoon always, one with a weedless weightless jerkbait or DOA shrimp always, the rest with a jig/Baitbuster/Mirrolure/??? always. Lee.

I said three because it asks on a "normal" day, but I at times will take 5. It really depends on what area I'm fishing. And if I feel like flailing around with the fly rod. I have a scotty triple mount up front, and 2 rod holders on my seat. Most people think it's a little excessive, but when you explain that you are not still fishing with live or dead bait, and that you are actively "hunting" through constantly changing depth and structure, they usually agree that it makes more sense to carry rods rigged with different lures than to keep cutting and re-tying.

used to carry only 2 with a med spinning rig for my exudes and one medium heavy bait caster with a large top water either a He-Dog or a large Storm chugbug. picked up a nice light-medium spinning rig a few weeks ago that is really nice to cast. Still havent really put it to work though. hoping to get out later this week and look for some of these mega schools or bull reds.

I usually take 2 spinning rods, 1 is set up for top water and the other soft plastic. I use the spinning outfits to locate fish once I do I usually bring out the Fly rod that I store inside the Yak and wade with it.
