Never caught one of these before. Some kind of gar? Long nose, lots of teeth.

Looks like Ballyhoo but it could be either. If the top and the bottom "bills" are the same length it's a Needlefish. Either way snook candy, they love em.

NEEDLEFISH............6 inches of body 6 inches of head with nothing but teeth

The bottom lobe of a bally tail is long which allows it to skip across the water. This is a needlefish.

They have a delightful bouquet. Next time you catch one smear it all over yourself. The chicks love it!
