We had 47 anglers show up today, where was everybody else? Who would have thought that 47 paddle anglers would come out on a damn hot September day with only two rods and two lures to have a fun competition amongst friends?
There were a total of 7 slams caught today ranging from 37" to 73" but not all counted due to the rules.
Here are the winners with a lot more story to follow-
Slam Division-
First Place-JoseC with a 59.25" slam. He won $235.00
Second Place-Native1-with a 55" slam. He won $141.00
Third Place-ChrisR-with a 51.25" slam. He won $94.00
Trout-

Second Place-Kspops- 22"
Third Place-Bseggs-21.25"

Third Place-Norm-26.5"

Besides the cash the top two chose between a Wang Anchor and a print from finatic designs.

Big thanks to Ed Halm from Backwater Paddles for his more than generous donation and making the drive to come join us. Nice to meet you Ed!
Thanks to all the anglers who participated, hope everyone had a good time. The format worked very well for everyone except for TerryB who lost his only two lures in the first half hour of the day. The ultimate hard uck award has to go to Kneedeep who had the field trounced with a 73" slam but failed to put his marker in his pictures for the first two fish. Sorry Paul and thanks for understanding.
Hope to see everyone and more at PFTS #2.

Congrats to the winners (& losers) and a big Thank You to the sponsors and to Todd, Rik, & Mark. Those of you who caught quality fish done good today!
Had I been able to land that Snook that I lost at the boat, I'm sure I would have won something.
Smallest slam fish ever in the PFTS

Congrats to the winners, and also to the sponsors, and the guys behind the table.
I think we need a ruling on which way the fish have to be on the measuring board ... putting them tail first is sorta like putting your socks on over your shoes.

Congrats to all the winners, and thanks to all the sponsors that donated stuff for us to give away.
And a big thank you to everyone who showed up to fish today. It was HOT out there! I personally got the first skunk out of the way for my new boat.

Congrats to the winners & all who showed up to fish.
Special congrats to my buddy Robby (Native1). Way to represent the group!!
Thanks Todd, Rik, & Mark for bringing us all togeather.
Note to myself: When fishing the puffer and lizard fish capital of the world, don't pick two soft baits as your lures of choice.
