A few shots from my guided trip to Punta Colorada. Just go back last night so mostly photos.
I got out for a day before the clients arrived. This is one of the biggest Roosters I have landed. It gave me one of the fasted sleigh rides I have ever had.
Chris Adams with a fun size Rooster
Jay Parker with a nice JC
He fell in the water right as I was taking this shot, It was very rough out
Craig Miller going for a ride
Craigs JC
So close to being an awesome shot
Craig on his 2 ½ hour ride
Not long before this shot, this fish tried to jump into my tankwell. I had to jump forward to keep from being hit by the bill. I hope the video came out.
Pulling it aboard for the lap dance
A couple quick shots and a healthy release. We use the panga to tow us to revive the fish.
A few more Roosters
Overall a very fun trip, had to deal with some cold water and wind but everyone got some good fish and had a shot at a Marlin. Chris also landed a shark of about 200 pounds but we only got video no stills of it.

Those Roosters are beautiful fish. That first one is huge.

I was impressed, that the older I got, the more patient I became. Turns out, I just don't give a shit.

Did not see a chute in any of the pics or in any of the kayaks and noticed you had a 2 1/2 hr. fight with the marlin. Just thought a drift chute might help lower that number.Jim Sammons LJKF wrote:We use them when needed, not sure what you are asking??
Impressive Rooster in your first pic!

No I do not use them while fighting fish. We will often team up to put more pressure on the fish but I don't want to mess with the drift chute. These fish will often spin you around and the last thing you want to happen is getting your line tangled before you can pull the chute it.
Here is an example of us putting a little more pressure on a big Sail fish in Costa Rica
