dang man....that's a bull

I was in Miami last weekend with all my gear and someone told me it wasn't worth fishing the Bay yet with all the dead fish....I guess he was wrong

That's not just a fish, that's an ACCOMPLISHMENT. Ranks way up there with the most impressive fly-caught fish I've ever seen (esp given the location and circumstances). Simply amazing...

Just out of curiosity - what # rod did you use to tame that beast? 8wt? 10wt?

I was using both 8wt and 10wt but hooked it on the 8wt...I will throw both to keep a fly in the water at all times when I can...this time I could because I was anchored...they had a choice of speed dart or dread and they chose the dread

Thats freaking awesome. I can only imagine the feeling of tailing that slob after the fight. I would have let out a series of wookie yells and profanities that only emerge when a battle like that is won. Good stuff man, Fish looks every bit of 40in.

Just a hell of a nice fish there, Cordell. Congrats -- you are quickly getting those reds "wired" down there ...... :)

What's happening with bonefish -- weather been too cold for them to show?

thanks everybody...it was a great reward that I will never forget...BUT, a fisherman is only as good as his last fish and that was a while back...havent been since and weather is keeping me out of the game
