PFTS formats

Post by Todd »

For those who have asked here are the formats for out upcoming tournament series.

Here are the formats-

The Dynamic Duo-two lures only, yes only two.

Old Fashioned-Bring the damn tackle box.

My lures are better-A "One Lure Challenge", you pick the lure.

Erick Bell Memorial-A "One Lure Challenge", Erick picks the lure.

My lures/Your Lures-The lure swap. Doing this again, I was outvoted by a committee of 8 to do this again.

You will but it can only be two lures and two rods. Choose carefully and tie good knots. You lose a lure you are SOL.

So if you are using a topwater and you get broken off then suddenly the lure comes back to the surface can you tie it back on and fish with it?

If it was your lure that popped back up, yes.

It'll be interesting to see how many up size their leader for this one.

Are you going to require identifying marks on the lures? What if Vlap is fishing with a jig and flings it and has a knot failure. It lands on an oyster bar where he finds what he thinks is his but he finds three identical jigs can he continue or because he cannot positively identify his jig he cannot use it?

I love the what if game no wonder there are so many rules in golf

Vlap, being a man of honor and integrity, would lose that jig if he cannot poistively indentify it. He would then open a beer and paddle around banging on his kayak to show everyone else where the fish were.

So let me see if I got this right. Two rods and as many of two different lures you wanna bring that fit behind your seat.

...and some beer for Vlap.

...got it.

No, that is incorrect. You can only bring two lures, two, 2, dos, etc.

This will be explained fully but a jig with one tail is one lure, you cannot bring a bag of tails and one jig head, unless you want two jig heads and two tails.

In other words, if you choose a spook jr and a gold spoon, you can only have ONE (1) spook jr and ONE (1) gold spoon on your kayak?

If you choose a spook jr and a 1/8 oz Mission Fishin red jig head with a Mangrove red Exude tail, you can only have ONE (1) spook jr and ONE (1) 1/8 oz Mission Fishin red jig head with ONE (1) Mangrove red Exude tail on your kayak?
