Buggin!

Post by Shep »

Went out this morning, on a boat, and went snorkeling for lobsters. First time I've ever done that, and man was it fun. I was getting down to about 30 feet 4 were caught (between 4 of us) but only one made it to my grill. Little garlic butter and all was well. Going back out tomorrow. Hopefully better luck since I will be taking out the kayak.

Nothing like lobster mini-season to help you say YUM. I don't miss the crowds but I do miss the YUM.

It'll still be crowded the first week of regular season while I'm there but no mini-season for me.

There'll still be plenty of bugs when I get there ...always is. 8)

Its the channel cut out. Goes from just a couple feet to 30 feet suddenly. Just cruise around the wall, looking for the antenna sticking out of their holes.
Went back out today for a couple hours, water clarity was horrible, from everybody being out there, only saw 2. Both were on the small side, and were tucked so far back in their holes, I couldn't get them to come out anyway. Still had fun snorkeling around, looking at the different little fish, coral and sponges. Had to keep scaring off a curious little cuda. He was only about a foot long though.
Just like when I'm fishing, I'm just happy to be out there.
