Tie-In, some details gentlemen -sign up and add suggestions

Post by John »

Time to start ironing out some details:

Attendees; Sign up here!

Location: obviously we're spread out over quite a wide area, so first off when you sign up also put your location, so we know where we all are.

Dates: Also when you sign up, put in a preferred dat is you have one.

Flies: Name your signature fly, that you'd be willing to show us how to tie, and /or the fly that you would most like to be shown how to tie.

I'll add your information to this post as we go.

That should get us started!

John - Tampa
Anytime after end of February suits me!
being new to tying couldn't really say I have a signature fly so I'll name what I would like to be shown, and that is of course the Electric Dread!

JoeS; Brandon
March 14th Sat (Maybe we could convince a few people"Jeff" to make some CornBeef & Cabbage)
Location:You need a place with Shelter maybe Simmons Park
Type of fly: Open

Vlap,:Bradenton
Any time is ok.
New to tying so I look forward to learning.

Noles: Bradenton
Any time is OK
Top water fly

GILs_GONE_WILD - Land O' Lakes
I am busy the last weekend in February and the last weekend in March.
Other than that, I'm available until Lobster Season opens in early August.

VARick: Palm Harbor -- would be ok with travelling
Weekends are best Sat or Sun
No real signature fly -- maybe share a flatwing tie they use in New England
Would like to learn EP fiber style ties.

My suggestion for a place to meet would be the Skyway rest area, north or south. They have covered picnic area, so you can tie a fly and test it after you're done.

I am busy the last weekend in February and the last weekend in March.

I also work Saturdays but if given enough advance notice and nobody has it off already :x , I could do a Saturday. Other than that, I'm available until Lobster Season opens in early August. :D

Off every Sunday.

E.G. Simmons would be great. Skyway is also a good suggestion. Only 10 -15 miles more to the Skyway so no big deal there.

Not sure about a fly at the moment.

I'll add one thing too if I may. If anyone has a tip or trick that you think is somewhat unique for tying, bring or show that.

I'm in Indian Rocks but I'll travel as needed. I won't be tying only observing and learning if that's OK. Probably give some of you a lesson on drinking however.

Pirogue: Riverview, but can show up most anywhere
Date: Lets see what people bring up. Gotta fit it in sometime!
Don't have a fly that has been perfected. But I am a freshwater nut. So it will probably be some sort of panfish or other. But I have a couple trout patterns.

Okay- I'm rambling
