West Marine has a large assortment of hardware for kayaks and small sailboats. A word of caution, if you buy stainless steel from places like Home Depot make sure it is 316 grade stainless and not 304 grade which is like kitchen grade stainless.
The 304 will rust in salt water and if you go to a marine store / kayak shop you will be more assured it is 316 that they sell.
