Ditto.

For a wrapping Jig, check out this website http://www.steelheader.net/Rodbuilding/ ... od_jig.htm I built this jig, the functionality is great.

Just remember; your epoxy, thread, wrap finishing stuff, tape/tube (to hold guides while wrapping) can be a fairly large cost. Don't forget to figure that into your budget.

Also, I found a dryer motor w/ chuck on ebay a while back.

Good luck!

Same as the others. Drive over to Mudhole in Orlando and tell them what you want to do and they will set you up. They are one of the top suppliers in the nation and are not far from you.

My suggestion is to pick up a sanded mudhole blank ($5) or the gloss finish blanks ($15) to use for your first rod. Fine tune your skill with those blanks because if you make any major mistake along the way, you're only out $5-15 on the blank. You'll have a very nice rod once you're done with it.

I picked up an old sewing machine at a flea market and use the motor. It has a foot peddle to control the speed
