Is there a need to have an anchor trolley on both sides? I'm thinking that a single trolley (port or starboard) wouldn't cover all of the potential needs for anchoring or using a drift sock.
Thoughts?

I have a full on trolley on my port side for anchoring and a 1/2 trolley on the starboard for a drift chute.

If you have a paddle keeper on one side then an anchor trolley on that side tends to snag up with your paddle.

I have a full trolley on one side of my yak and it works fine, don't see the need for one one each side.

I like the idea of two. It's not necessary for sure, but it can be a convenience, especially if you do any deep water anchoring like I do and you want that "slightly different angle" that you get from switching the anchor to the opposite side.

Just joking, most people stake out rather tahn anchor, and one trolley should be adequate except for the the very rare occasion you need that perfect angle.

Jays set up is great the half trolley at the back for drift chuting is much more usuable, having the ability to alter your drift from either side of the yak.
