The cool weather this morning prompted me to dump my plans and head out fishing. I caught my first arti slam in several months.
I really hate measuring fish, but thought I need to keep practicing. This one was 23".
I had already caught three trout and two reds so I went searching for Mr. Snook in the mangroves. BLAMO, snook on. Just as I put my hand on the leader he jumped off. He just sat there stunned a bit so I snapped this photo.
Total for the day:
One snook, almost boated
Two reds
Four trout (largest was just over 17")
0 catfish
0 ladyfish
0 lizardfish
It was a good day and it ended like this:
Perfect day on the South Shore
Perfect day on the South Shore
35/34.5/26 24/22/1/1
I finally found Cow Creek. It's at the end of the Road to Nowhere!

Touching the leader counts, imo. Photographic evidence seals the deal.TerryW wrote: I had already caught three trout and two reds so I went searching for Mr. Snook in the mangroves. BLAMO, snook on. Well done! (for a girl).
