Sunday fishing trip

Managed to make it out to War Veterans Park Sunday for a bit of fishing. Saw plenty of bait in the water all around and managed to get out to the spoil islands before the boat traffic heated up. 
Saw a pair of dolphins that were having a ball all over the place for most of the day. Even managed a Lizard fish on top water early in the day. Best fish of the day was a 20 something Snook 
Hooked one a bit bigger but it got off. I bet come Sept. it will get just a bit harder to get one in the slot what with the new regulations. Hope everyone that had a chance wet a line this week. Has been a while for me to catch something decent. It was a spot that had a pretty good fish kill last year so that was a plus! Dan
