Prevent theft of your trailer

Some of you might remember when my kayak trailer was stolen..
I ran across this item on Ebay and thought I'd share it.
Guess this needs to be filed under the"why the &*^* didn't I think of that "catagory.

It just might prevent you from becoming a victim of theft.

$30 seems like a little much but if i would have had one of these maybe I'd still have my trailer
I think a similar item could be welded up out of 1' stock for less money with a stud welded on one end and a
locking lug nut be used for securing the "U" assembly.

Good idea I bet you could use one of those bicycle cables, around the spring thru the hole and around the wheel, wouldn't be foolproof but it would slow them down.
