True dat. Just ain't seeing them this year. I hope it improves. Worse season so far in the dozen years I've been fishing them. All of my tarponing buddies concur.

Hmm, haven't really been out looking for them, sorry to hear that, other fishing hasn't been too bad though.

Been out 3 times in the skiff off St. Pete Beach this year and have only seen two pods that didn't stay up along enough to even get a shot at. I heard they are showing up pretty good at the Skyway and Egmont but its been slow along the beach.

You need use coral snakes. Kudos to the pf.com tips (and newer gear) I put the stones to this one and was boastside in 15-30 min. 50# braid, 60# leader. Bean's Point fish - armada was in full force. Dead threadfin. Got down and dirty right after the first shot. SOB still gulped air once on me. KHAN!!!
