PFTS #2 - Scoring Format

Post by Rik »

Okay, pay attention here.

1. You get 1 point per inch for one redfish.
2. You get 5 points per spot on one side of one redfish. May be the same redfish as above or a second redfish
3. You get 20 points for a snook - length does not matter.
4. You get 10 points each for up to 3 trout - length doesn't matter
5. You get 15 points for a jack - length doesn't matter

Example. I catch a 26 inch redfish. Then I catch a 12 inch redfish with 10 spots on one side. Then I catch a snook. Then I catch 2 trout. Then I catch a monster 30 pound jack that drags me all over the bay.

26 points for the redfish
50 points for the 10 spots x 5 points each
20 points for the snook
10 points for one trout
10 points for the second trout
15 points for the jack.

Total Points = 131

You only need to measure one redfish. ALL fish entered MUST have your angler number in the picture.

Understand?

Any questions?

Seems to me a safe course of action is pretty much take a pic of everything. Show up at the weigh in and then separate things out..

"20 points for a snook" One snook. Not 10 snooklets at 20 points each. One snooklet for 20 points. 20 points is the max (and the minimum) you can get for catching a snook regardless of how many you catch or what size they are.

Now - we will have a large snook prize separate from the money prize.......

Yep, take a pic of every fish you catch. Put your angler # in there. Who knows, we may have a prize for the most unusual or prettiest or fattest or fastest or the fish that draws the most OMG gasps from the crowd.
