Awesome catch Dustin!

Now please explain your thought process with the 10' alligator and getting in the water to take a pic.

Todd,

The gator was right between the kayak and where I hooked the fish...when he started running, the kayak got pulled right over the top of the gator. Gator spooked and then the fish drug me far enough away where I felt semi-comfortable. I really needed to get out to deal with a fish that large and revive him properly (which didn't take much). There are quite a few gators in this particular area, but it isn't anything compared to some of the places I fish in the Glades.

Yeah but did you buy a truck? Cause last time we fished all you had was that little hooptie

I finally got rid of that POS. Found a great deal on a 2005 F150 Lariat. Love it!

Amazing Fish. I'm pretty sure that everyone that has ever broken me off, or straightened a hook is that size....at least in my mind  . Of course the story is a lot more believable when it ends with a picture of you holding the fish! May be someday! Congrats
