Got a call today saying I am no longer layed off,back to working the night shifts.
Extremely excited :D

Man that is one big kayak.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

I love boats. all kinds. Nice pics, thanks for sharing but, I don't think I want to paint that thing, you can have that. :thumbleft:

Good to hear your back at work. You might get one of my companies ships one day. I work for ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, we're the largest container steamship line in Tampa.

We got the American Victory (the navy ship behind the florida aquarium),they are sand blasting all of it and painting it.

You brought back a lot of memories. My Uncle and Grandfather painted ships for years at New York Shipyard in Camden NJ and later at Todd in New Orleans. Good pay for a dangerous job.

My dad worked in Tampa ship yards back in the 40's.

Skeeter so did my dad. He was a welder at McCloskys ship yard here in tampa. They built Victory ships. My family moved here from Atlanta 1941. I was born in Ybor City on 9th Ave. in a house.

We ended up all taking a 45 minute tour of the victory ship, Ill have some pictures up soon. I welded 2 days (24 Hours) on the hull of it and it was pretty cool to be working on history.

Thats awesome to be workin on a ship that is enriched in history. My dad is a vietnam vet fro THE NAVY and he was on the DDG14 USS BUCHANNON that is now been put to rest in the pacific. I love me some history especially about military. Thx for sharing cant wait to see more can i get a touras well.
