I released one big one this morning

Post by shamus »

It gave me great satisfation to pop the hook out of Noles' hand. A little payback for laughing at me while Johnny law was writting me a ticket yesterday. By the way the enforced speed limit in Siesta Key is 25 not 40ish.

The trick of pressing down on the eye of the hook and wrapping a loop of mono around the curve of the hook works quite well. Just tell the wonded person your going to pop it on 3 and do it one one.

That's what you get for fishing on Mothers Day.

Sorry Noles, but I'm glad this thread turned out to be something different than I thought the title was suggesting. And yes, coming from Shamus, I thought that might be possible.

Also, I agree with DvR.

Nole was hardcore. Got the fly in the back of the hand about 8 AM and fished on for another hour or so. Oh, yes... I did manage to get one in the air on Sunday. First jump and it was over though.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.
