Went fishing today. Waded the oyster beds and pitched flies into the mullet schools. I know, it's frowned up here, but, that's what I did. It was too nice to sit around the house.
I hooked and lost the 2nd REALLY nice Red this year. Fortunately, this one stayed on long enough to fully test my recent Christmas present. It is sweet!
The wind picked up after an hour, so I walked a trail to a spot where I'd be somewhat protected. I found a school of mullet, started casting, and hooked a Red. Err...
Ten minutes later... Another Red. Err...
These are supposed to be in the river, right?
The skies clouded, the wind picked up. And I left. Not before taking a little detour...
