Baby snook everywhere

Post by gsellers1245 »

Last friday me and my brother n law fished joes bay, the moses hole and almost all of the tierra ciea preserve state park. We were hunting for reds and trout but did not expect to hook into snook. Both of us tossed our rods out at the same time and boom double snook hookup. We caught baby snook all day long. We released about (40) 8-16" snook. Saw a bunch of reds but nothing worked to hook them. Looks like the little buggers made the freeze

That's great news for all of us that the Snook population will be coming back strong.

I found 'em in Miguel on Monday, headed back there this afternoon to see if I can find mama, or some reds on this nice falling tide.

I've seen quite a few little snooklets in my area as well. At dusk, it sometimes gets to the point that you can't keep them off the hook. Hopefully they grow up fast.
