Just wanted to post this up to show that sharks are not the only thing I catch. I went just inside the Venice Jetties yesterday and fished the edges of the deep channels looking for these guys moving into the backwaters and as I had hoped they were doing just that.

This is impressive, youve found slot redfish in venice. What was bait of choice?

Photoshop, theres no redfish in Venice

Impressive though, I had some fun with them off the docks in Roberts and Dona bay this time last year, might have to make a trip out there tommorrow.

Caught my largest snook there a few years back. Nice reds.

I was thinking about launching the yaks out of the jetties to catch some mackeral next week. Never been up there before can I launch right at the inlet? Nice reds :) :)

I launch at the north jetty. I caught these right at the entrance to dona bay. It goes from 4ft to 12ft on the channel edge. If the tide is moving good use gulp on a jig and bounce it off the bottom in the current. If its slow you may have to go to live shrimp to get them to pick it up.

Not enough empty beer cans in the picture for Boggs.

Went out again today despite the wind. I figured with the low pressure the bite would be on. Fished the same spot as the previous pics came from and did great again. 1 rat red, 1 slot red, 1 flounder, 1 black drum. and a bunch of sheepsheads. Not a bad day.
