Who makes the best of the shelf anchor trolley system? Will be mouting on a Malibu stealth 12.

i used one just like that made by hobie. I dislike those pulleys, they make a horrible crackling noise when under pressure.

Also have used this kit a couple of time on diff boats, works really well.

I added a SS block like this

and a bungee. worked like a charm

I have often wondered why people use pulleys. On my old boat I used large caribiners on the front and back straps then ran rope in a circle connected at a third caribe\iner to tie the two ends together. The line was easy to pull sliding on the metal caribers. And you could snap your anchor line in and out at the movable caribiner.

I often wondered why people used carabiners instead of pulleys.

They are big and clunky, add more hardware than necessary and, in the ten years the anchor has been on my kayak, it has never been removed.

Plus, they just look better and more professional.

Here's a Trolley I installed on my old Ocean Kayak Drifter Angler. Should be adaptable to most SOT's.

Needed-
(4) Padeye, (2) Ocean Kayak Bungee Buttons, (12) Aircraft Rivets, (2) Harken Blocks, (2) Bungee Balls, (1) Zig-Zag Cleat, (1) 1-1/8" O-Ring and 25' Outrigger Halyard.









**Every hole drilled had a "kiss" of Marine Silicon in/on it prior to installation of item**
