Biloxi MS

Post by Heywood »

I was in Biloxi this week on business and was able to get my work done early on Tuesday, so Wednesday I grabbed a phone book and looked up “Canoes and Kayaks” Not finding anything local, I picked out a place called “Soggy Bottom Canoes and Kayaks”, figuring at the least they might have cool “T” shirts. I called them up only to find that that Soggy Bottom was out of business and a new group had taken over. “Red Wolf Wilderness Adventures” was the new outfit, so I punched it up on the GPS and took off.

Man, was I surprised. Driving up from Biloxi to Brooklyn MS, it took about an hour to get there. The scenery through Highway 29 was just amazing. As I was reminded by a good friend of mine, my camera should be required equipment on all my road trips, even if I fly to get there. Red Wolf Wilderness Adventures offers one through six hour trips down the Black Creek, located right in the middle of the Desoto National Forest.

The main building, with a one bedroom loft located above.
