I am planning to be in the Oak Hill area this coming weekend...Feb. 6,7,and 8. Can anyone give me some pointers on the area? I will be launching off of River Road. Any local info is appreciated

Here are coords for the Scotsmoor Ramp.

28.46'13.22" N- 80 50'45.21 W

I have caught nice trout to the north. There are really nice grassy spots along the shore for reds. If you have the guts, paddle south-east and there are reds and tons of trout out by the island.

Watch out for low tide. You may have a Habo moment.

My favorite weapon is a green curly tailed softbait- like a frog, on a cotee jig head. I would burn them up like mad on the trout.

Have fun.
