I have not caught a bass all thru the long hot summer pribably due to their natural activity cycle.
I finally caught two bass today in a few minutes from the bank of a canal in Cape Coral. The largest, about 3 lbs took a very small red and yellow tube crappie jig that I was running by some visible brim or Mayans.
No picture as the fish unhooked himself while I scrambled up the bank and back to the car for the camera,
I hope this change of luck signals the beginning of fall feeding for our local sub-tropical bass.
Any bass action?

Be thankful for every day and especially those fine days on the water

Bassin with worms
thanks for the tip.
I like to fish worms and was catching lots of bass here in SW Florida with them in Spring and summer. I will keep one rigged for fall.
Best results seemed to be a large worm without weight fished in grass and near cattails along the shoreline for our weed choked canals.
I still use a bullet weight and Texas rig for deeper wate.
