Belize

Post by ratherbefishin »

Friend of mine just got back from several days in Belize where he had several guide trips. He found that the fishing was actually better right here at home. No tarpon, one snook in four trips and a small one at that.
Made me feel like I was the lucky one by fishing here.

Not sure where he went but I went to Belize two years and caught more than enough fish including tarpon, snook, snapper, jacks, etc. Besides the fishery the country and area we fished was beautiful.

No idea where he went, but this was his second trip of mediocre results. Spent a bunch of money and was disappointed. Guess even paradise has bad days. Glad you got on em, it's a trip I always wanted to take someday.

There are really two parts of Belize, the offshore barrier reef (second largest in the world) and the inland rivers and creeks. We never left the mainland. Spent two days and toured the entire country in a van and fished for 4 days. It was a great trip.
