my next rod (when i finish the one on my lathe (4 months)) is going to be a rod for a 6/0 penn and i will be using it from beach and maybe from my stinkpot, maybe.

suggestions under $100?

Go with an seeker 670xh and please beef up the reel a little to maybe a 9/0 unless you like getting spooled by big fish.

i've been told that. but 9/0's are hard to find used. and they are monsters!

9/0 are not that expensive new = very few used ones.
