I tried to place more options for the poll but it won't let me...
Next option:
- I'll take what I can get.
I consider them the same. Unless they're pushing 25 inches, they're a pain in the arse.
What about you guys/gals?

I love fishing for trout. Probably one of my favorite things to do. Obviously the bigger the better. But I like catching and as long as it isnt a catfish or ray, I get pretty excited about it. After a dozen or so ladyfish, I will tire of those and move on.
Don't give up. Don't ever give up.

I like trout, don't really mind those. A larger trout (20" +) are good fighters and a hard fish to catch and land.
Ladyfish will make a slow day a fun one sometimes. On light tackle they are not too bad. Also fun to find a hungry school of ladyfish when the kids are on the boat. They do get in the way a lto of times though when you are targeting a specific species.

You know what La Quinta means in English? Behind Dennys. MarkM
Ladyfish and jack have saved many a slow days worth of fishing. Not exactly what you were going for. But better than nothing.
I will always target large trout in the winter. It is as hard a fish to catch as any. Again, some days all you are going to catch 16-20 inch trout. Take what you can get and don't b******.

I'd rather catch a sailcat...I want only fish that put a hurting on my forearms...The trout here are dinks and I rarely ever get the ladies to the boat which is a good thing.
North florida trout are different a small one is 25" you catch fewer trout but they are always good ones. With all the fishing we do you would think we would see more BIG trout on this forum,,,but they really are not any here.

I just fish for fun of occasionally catching something and ladyfish are fun. Of course when it gets serious like the OLC that's different!

Yeah, as long as it taking some drag out. I guess that's why I couldn't ever fly fish for 6" brook trout or bluegill and walk away satisfied.
Jacks are not at the top of the list but their circling-style fight is a world away from a trout's spastic shaking as they ski on top of water back to the kayak.
I guess I've just caught enough trout and ladyfish when I was learning the in's and out's of inshore saltwater fishing, to last me the rest of my life. Now their just meddling in on my time looking for something that will pull back.
