Called Snookfinatic on my way to Tally for Christmas. We ended up casting flys the next day. A nice little break from the "ordinary" day of throwing flys to 15# reds.
Jeff (Snookfinatic) with one of many rainbows. Yes, that is his smile
Bearsfan and a pending world record bream, caught on dry fly
Ended up running into Rev out at the pond as well. It was a virtual fly fishing whos who out there. Also the first time I have even run into other people. Great to finally meet you Rev, hopefully we can hook up for some time in the salt or polling for 40# carp.

BTW- those are now dead fish.jsuber wrote:Same location:
The survival rate on those fish after taking them out of the water that long is slim to none. The bigger "triploids" trout do not survive well after battling them too long and/or taking them out of the water. It is better to release them while in the water without touching them.

I remember the rules in Europe were so atrocious. They did not allow catch and release.
Dr. Ally the biologist that owns this farm insist on everyone using at least a 5 wt flyrod, and you can keep one fish, it the single hook (required also) get buried too far back in the throat. I respect Dr. Ally and his opinion on what these fish (Located in Tallahassee FL) can do. Look for an article on fishing in his ponds in a future copy of Florida Fishing Weekly.
