Mosquito Lagoon all to myself

I went out to the 'Goon last week on one of the coldest days, needless to say I had the place all to myself when the sun came up. The day started off on a bad note as there were dead snook and mangrove snapper all over the place near the Haulover, and FWC was conducting a major rescue operation to save dieing sea turtles. The fishing wasn't going so good either, not even the pinfish would bite.
As the day warmed up I could see some reds tailing on the flats ( I was bank fishing due to the fact that my fishing buddy didnt have a boat and didnt like the idea of canoeing in 25 deg. weather). Deciding that it was worth getting a little cold and wet i took off my shoes and rolled up my jeans. The water was frigid, it was so cold it made my bones hurt. It did turn out to be worth it though because I manage to sight cast one 24" red and one monster that i did not expect.
Take a look.
