Here are a few pictures of our last few trips on the Indian River-Stuart to Ft. Pierce. All released except the tripletail.

I'm not positive but I think they were between 28-31 inches.

I'd love to have trout that size over here. I wouldn't consider them nuisance.

Quite impressive, saw those photos on another site. The trout down there are quite large. And that proves they are pretty hardy as well and plenty of them. Great work. As with Todd, curious about lures (bait) of choice.

We've had luck on most topwaters. The bigger storm chugbug works well. My two favorites are skitterwalks and zara spooks. The trout in the 3rd picture my buddy Matt caught on a subsurface mirrorlure( mirrordine I believe ) I also like the XPS series and the slim dog made by bass pro shop.

That bottom snook looks very close to Ft. Pierce. If so, that is one of my favorite areas down there.

Bangin' pics and report. Where did you find that Tripletail? I know they like hangin around bouys or channel markers.

BearsFan, Yes that is Ft Pierce(Good eye!--just north of Little Mud).
Teamshaft3, we often catch them from bouys and markers but we caught that one(and it's twin) from underneath a floating coconut.

Mammouth trout. It was like one guy caught a 28 or 29 inch fish and each had your photo taken with it. I guess your upper 20's trout school up like the 14 to 16 inch trout over here. Trout that size over here travel by themselves and I call the Rogues. Those are trout that make your drag actually have to do something.
I like the photo with bright sunlight and a headlamp still on top of the nugget.
