We came, we fished, we caught. :D

We went out three days, all three the reds were spooky. Chrissy caught 2 slot size on Christmas Eve, and that was it for the redfish. The rest of the time it was dink trout, whiting, rays, catfish, and weak fish(trout with no spots), and a small bluefish. We stayed around the Turtle Mound area.

Both reds were caught with those pitiful excuses for shrimp that they sell on the east coast. Hell, I've seen bigger shrimp on a salad.

We caught most of the rest on either pink squid Gulps or chartruse 4" swimming mullet Gulps. I tried almost everything in the tackle box. They did hit a 6"babybass jerk bait rigged ala "Heywood", but just took the tails off.

The weather was hit or miss. One day 10-15, next day a slight breeze. One great thing to mention was NO sign of the infamous Un-named tide. Even on the beach, we didn't see anything.

Lastly, Flipper does not like yellow kayaks. Had several groups of them feeding around us and one made a beeline towards me. As soon as he got within 10 feet, instant 180 and off like a rocket. Didn't see any more for a while.

If you are ever in NSB, two places you gotta stop at, Norwoods and PJ's.

Someone should have told you to use a half a ladyfish and a SIK instead of shrimp.

You forgot to tell him to squeeze the fish till it's eyes bulge out while taking pictures. Oh, and to also remind everyone reading the post that your son is slightly famous! lol
