fish or cut bait

Post by tdsdad »

I have fished since I was a little kid in dana shores in tampa-I have used artis my whole life and do a pretty fair job catchin fish-I've posted lots of pics of slot and over slot reds using jerkbaits and topwaters-I prefer casting and jigging by far-I used live shrimp last week and only caught cats and rays and crap-
BUT, try and catch these huge reds from a kayak with a 4 inch jerkbait and you'll have a long day-I am taking a long a with me next time to see if they will crash a big plug or maybe a big plastic-but once a fish that size starts scorching your drag, neither you nor the fish knows what the bait was!!!! the fight was incredible!!

I don't have a problem with bait. Looks like fun. Don't sweat it.

I know where he was and he is right. Without the stinky, slimey, dead bait you are better off wanking it to the Bucs game.

Late in the afternoon can be another story.

No I am the negative guy on the other boards and still say fishing for reds with cut bait is still like sleeping with your sister it was ok when you were little kids.

That said nice fish but would be nicer on artificials.

For Farks sake get over yourselves guys, I've seen enough people on this site using bait when it suits them, and you know who you are.

Those are some huge beautiful fish, why try to belittle a mans fishing, just because he used bait.

If there is one thing I can not stand its hypocrites!

I know how to solve this stupid dilema....take me fishing there and I will use cut bait and see if I get any joy out of it. Knowing that I probalby will I will let everyone know about it.
