Saturday - still time to sign up

Post by Rik »

Weather looks good! 72 degrees, mostly sunny, 0% chance of rain, single digit wind speed.

Incoming tide all morning with a solunar major from 10:13 am to 12:13 pm.

There should be lots of fish caught. Anyone going to use live or dead bait?

Even more reason to sign up is that I will be in Atlanta for my daughters cheer competition. Without me there that leaves first place wide open for everyone else. Because, as you all know, I am a ringer and guys usually don't sign up when they know I am going to be there.

I usually use live bait with my son on a pop'n cork. Just easy for him to use. I was planning on using a gulp shrimp and do a little experiment to see which one gets more attention.

Any body know of a bait shop in that area?

The Bait Bucket in Tierra Verde. As soon as you come over the drawbridge it is in the center on your right north of the 7-11.

Bait shops in the area, Hart's Landing (under Ringling Bridge), New Pass Bait Shop (next to New Pass Bridge), All About Fishing (US41 next to Sarasota High School), Economy Tackle ( South US41 before you get to Stickney Point) there are others further South. Venise Jetty's and I know there is at least one more in Nokomis can't remeber the name.........
