PFTS #4 "The Erick Bell Memorial" - March 19 -Info & SIGN IN

Post by Todd »

What: The fourth event in the Paddle-Fishing.com Tournament Series (PFTS) will be the "Erick Bell Memorial". This event was started to honor Erick Bell, no he is not dead yet, who is the original founder of the One Lure Challenge Paddle Fishing Series. A One Lure Challenge is where Erick Bell picks a lure and each angler fishes with that same lure all day.

Additional Information and the rules concerning the PFTS can be found here-

http://paddle-fishing-forum.com/viewtop ... 39&t=28250" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

When: Saturday, March 19th

Where: Upper Tampa Bay/Safety Harbor/Double Branch/CC Causeway/Rocky Creek/Honeymoon Island/Caladesi Island.

The boundaries are loosely East Bay Drive to the South and Tampa Road to the North. The boundaries are for putting in only. You may paddle as far north, south, east, west as you like but you must put in within the boundaries. See map for any questions-

Time: Sign in will be from 6:15 to 6:45 at the boat ramp along the Courtney Campbell Causeway. After 6:45 sign in will be closed.

Launch time/Start fishing time
- 7:00 AM, you cannot launch or start fishing until 7:00 AM.

Format- Erick picked the lure so don't blame me. The lure of choice for all anglers to use will be an Exude Clear/Gold Flake Dart, not the chartreuse. In trying to keep costs down there will be a difference from the past. You can rig the Exude Clear/Gold Dart whatever way you would like but the way you rig it must be the same all day. If you decide to use a 1/4 oz. Mission Fishin red jig head you must use that combo all day, if you use a weedless hook the hook size and weight must remain the same all day. Pretty simple.

Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

Lets get it on.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.
