PFTS #2 "The Mystery Lure" Sign In/Info

Post by Todd »

What: The second event in the Paddle-Fishing.Com Tournament Series (PFTS) 2010-2011 will be the "Mystery Lure".

Please read in its entirety, most questions are answered here.

When: Saturday, October 23rd.

Where: Weedon Island/4th St. area. Please see attached map for launch boundaries.

As in all of the events, you can fish anywhere. You are only limited to where you can launch and take out. You must launch and take out within the red boundary as indicated in the boundary map.
weedonlaunch.jpg
In regards to the no entry zone at the Weedon Power Plant. No entries of any fish caught within the no entry zone may be submitted. The area is off limits during a PFTS. We are not going to condone breaking the law in any PFTS event

Time: Sign in will be from 6:15 to 6:45 at the west end of the Gandy Bridge on the south side of the road. There is a large parking area and we will meet there. You will pay your tournament entry fees and receive your token at the sign in.

Launch time/Start fishing time- 07:00 AM. You cannot launch or start fishing until 7:00. Anyone who is found launching before 7:00 will be disqualified.

Format: In this event you will be allowed to bring as many rods as you would like, you just cannot bring any lures with you. For a nominal charge of $10 you are going to receive a lure or bag of lures at the sign in. You can rig these anyway you would like but you must use the lure/lures provided to you, nothing else. You can have no other lures in your kayak besides the ones provided to you at the sign in.

Cost:
If you fished in PFTS #1
$10 Entry Fee
$10 Lures
$10 Fee for participation in the Season Long Pot (less $10 if you are not in the season long pot)

Total $30 if in the season long pot, $20 if not.

New to the PFTS 2010-2011
$10 Entry Fee
$10 Lures
$15 One time fee donated to Paddle-Fishing.com.
$10 If you would like to participate in the season long pot.

Total $45 if in the season long pot, $35 if not.

Pic-N-Sip (Weigh in)-Harveys 4th St. Grille. 3121 4th St N. On the corner of 4th st and 31st avenue. Meet up in the back room.

Weigh in starts at 1:45 and will end at 2:45. Any angler arriving after 2:45 will be disqualified.

PFTS Rules/Regulations: All of the rules can be found here-

http://paddle-fishing-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=28250" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Please sign in if you are going to attend. It is very important to sign in first, those signed in will receive preferential treatment at the sign in. It is very important if you sign in to show up. If you are bringing a friend/neighbor/etc. we need to know that up front.

Please keep this thread on track. Any info posted that is not relevant to PFTS #1 as far as signing in or asking relevant questions will be deleted with no notification.

Due to the nature of the "Mystery Lure" format this PFTS has a limit of 60 anglers.

Due to the nature of this upcoming "Mystery Lure" event it is very important and helpful that you sign in and let us know you are coming. If you plan on bringing a friend, neighbor, co-worker, etc please let us know that also. We need to keep a close eye on exactly how many people are going to be coming out to play. Once you are signed in please show up and we do understand "stuff" happens but please do not sign up and then just blow it off. We only had a few no shows at PFTS #1 but we had many who never signed up and just showed up.

We hate to limit the number of anglers so as long as we can keep a very close and accurate head count everything will be just fine. To keep it fair those who signed up will get checked in first, those not signed up will be relegated to the back of the line to make sure all that signed up get to get their "mystery" lures first. Thanks for your understanding.

For those wondering about this event. The "Mystery Lure" event is one in which you can bring as many rod/reel combos as you like and whatever leader material you want but you cannot bring any lures. The lures that everybody will fish with will be provided to each participant the morning of the sign in. This year we have assembled a good mixed bag of lures that everyone should be satisfied with.
