Peacock Bass 3-25-14

In case you'all forgot what they look like.

There were a very few available yesterday in Miami and I caught two. This photo should be of a pretty male fish.

Yes, I got hooked on fishing for peacock bass after I caught the first one in Miami about 10 years ago.

Beside being pretty to look at, they do put up a great fight on light spin or fly gear.

There should be a good crop of them this late spring summer and fall as I am seeing them again in good numbers in all of the places I found them before the freeze of 2010. I mean in Miami general. I cannot speak for Broward County?
