Bass fishing seems to be slowing down here in Cape Coral - Ft Myers area.
It perked up after the week of rain and has slowed since the drought set back in.
The bass I have been catching are on a dark plastic worm or small crappy jig meant for panfish.
I will get out soon at dark to see if there is any action on top water plug.
I brought two bass and three bluegill home to put in the backyard pond.
I catch lots of smaller Myans but the biggest ones seem wary of artificial lures.
I have been seeing lots of Florida gar, a beautiful spotted fish. They grab the bass worm occasionally but i avoid trying to hook them.
Enough, freshwater, now back out to the flats for those big trout.
