Went to the Narrowest portion hoping to benefit from the funnel. Got this, and a few misses of bass.

Nice Chain Pickerel. I wish they were around here.
My rides are a Pelican Colorado and an Old Town Otter.

No kidding, nice teeth. The plastic style grippers work good and are more affordable

And..they Float! I have an expensive boca that I have retired to motor boat usage because of the utility of the plastic gripper. It is just a better solution for a kayak. Also, you can just 'grip' it onto any convienent place on the kayak.

pickerel was a favorite fish as a boy - nice to see one again

the florida gar are grabbing bass lures now in cape coral area and they have a nice toothy snout - i use long nose pliers to release

photo coming if i catch a big one

bass are still grabbing plastic worms in dark colors in shallow water over submerged weed beds - the rains have started and i will need to relearn the bass hangouts
Be thankful for every day and especially those fine days on the water

I grew up in southern louisiana and I've caught 5 ft. alligator gars! I miss those. Also have caught an 11 ft. alligator which I sold to the seafood market at the dock! :)
