Skunk Breaker

I have made many trips to the Cape Coral canals since last fall but never caught a bass in the usual places until yesterday Mar 2, 2009 when I caught four on the same white spinnerbait before I lost the lure on a submerged root.

Cape Coral Canals

Post by bluebill »

I fish the canals in NW Cape mostly and I find them to be very clear in the winter and clear but with more vegetation in the summer.

Beside bass, the canals hold sunfish, brim, tilapia, grass carp, turtles and several types of cichlids. I hear there are a few gators but I have never seen one.
