Nice largemouth BC. I remember catching a 5 lb bass on a popping bug many moons ago and I think it was the most fun I ever had with my clothes on.

My son caught this from a 'noe, but on a rubber worm. He does have a fly rod, but not much to show for it yet....

Thats what it takes confidence. I caught this 8lb a while ago on a worm. Just before dark I lost another big one before I caught this one.

I have a small retention pond next to the house. I like to throw my saltwater patterns there to see how they look in the water .... and can confirm they will catch bass.

So far: 5lb bass on topwater popper (mullet colors)

2lb bass on a chartruse/while Kwan

2lb bass on a rabbit strip Borski slider

1lb bass on a shrimp immitation

Haven't tried my crab pattern yet ........... :)
